Structured Dog Walker
Must travel regularly to South Tampa, West chase, and more.
Role:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, knowledgeable individual who understands dog behavior. Main priorities include traveling to client dogs, providing 30-minute structured walks, reinforcing and enforcing already taught behaviors, and walking dogs who may be fearful or have reactive tendencies.
This person should be proactive, quick on their feet, and passionate about helping dogs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walk and work with dogs who have been trained.
- Walk & work with dogs that may be fearful or reactive.
- Ensure that dogs walked continue to develop better habits.
- Effectively communicate to owners
- Clean up after dogs walked
- Reward and enforce good habits
- Travel to clients home to provide 30 minutes of structured dog walks
- Reliably travel to South Tampa, West Chase, Carrollwood.
Requirements:
- Must have 1-3 years of experience working PROFESSIONALLY with dogs.
- Must have experience with reactive dogs.
- Ability to work with various breeds of different sizes and ages.
- Ability to align dog walks with training goals.
- Knowledge of dog behavior & body language.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have reliable, insured transportation.
- Ability to work in all kinds of weather.
- Experience working with a growing company.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Salary:
- $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Part-time
- Monday -Friday
- 10AM-1:30PM
